I'm a girl. I'm 20-years-old. I live in San Diego, CA. I take a lot of pictures. I like to dance. I like to swim. I'm vegan.
I like animals a lot. I let my music take me where my heart wants to go. |
The Format broke up five years ago today. So, I am leaving you with a video of the best summer of my life when I saw The Format 10 times in two months in five different states… Featuring my 14-year-old self.
Got this today, can’t wait to listen to it. @sammeans (Taken with instagram)
“Something In the Air” - Sam Means
I had to make a “Spring Break Documentary” for photography. So, I thought I’d post it here. Since I have nothing better to do. Oh and if for some reason it decides not to work in class, I’ll have a back up on the internet.
So, these are pictures I took over spring break to a song called “Yeah Yeah” by Sam Means.
“Hold on, there’s a hole in my heart”
Four years ago today, my favorite band announced that they were done. They gave me many beautiful, and exciting, memories, brought me closer to my sister, and taught me a lot about myself. From 2004-2007, I was lucky enough to see The Format 29 times in seven different states. The world of music was really let down when they called it off. Listen to The Format today and appreciate the brilliance that is Sam Means and Nate Ruess.
Fuck, I miss The Format. Can it be 2006? One Summer. The Format. Five States. Nine cities. Ten shows. Please?
Plus, I miss traveling in my sister’s truck. I can’t believe I was only 14 when I got to do all this shit.
“So surround me - I need anything, and you, you’re everything.
“i’ll be the last sound that you hear as your eyes close”
“Now all the things you had, they aren’t the same … as what you hold”
this is the cutest thing ever.
